Director & Cinematographer

During my training in film and video at American University in Washington DC, I was able to learn from some of the greatest narrative directors including Academy Award winner Oliver Stone and camera operator Dave Profiri, whom worked on many Indy films for Roger Corman as DP.  This hands on approach to mastering filmmaking was combined with studying the work of auteurs, including Michaelangeo Antonioni, David Lean and Ingmar Bergman. I instantly developed a passion for Italian NeoRealism and Independent Narrative Film, particularly on how it influenced the theory and history of cinema across multiple genres.  My learning helped me understand the importance of story, and how much that matters regardless of budget or technical limitations.  

This is a driving influence in how I approach my role on a film set.  From small projects where I function as a one man crew to much larger projects, I have been fortunate enough to work on all types of productions from Independent Feature Films, Documentaries, Experimental Narratives and Broadcast Television Productions.  I love to create with the same spirit of collaboration, quality, and purpose ensuring that an outstanding and original story will be told in the most engaging manner possible for the intended audience.
